Mike YiYuan Tang, PhD, is a Full Professor of Health and Performance Neuroscience and Director of the Health Neuroscience Collaboratory at Arizona State University, USA.

Dr Tang is a Fellow of both the Association for Psychological Science (APS) and the American Psychological Association (APA), as well as a Presence Fellow at Stanford University’s Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences.

Ranked among the top 2% of the world’s most cited scientists, Dr Tang has published more than 360 peer-reviewed articles and 10 books. His research focuses on the neuroscience of physical, mental, and spiritual health; brain/mind–body interaction and optimization; and behavior change across the lifespan.

He is also the founder of Integrative Body-Mind Training (IBMT), an effortless contemplative practice rooted in ancient Eastern traditions. A series of studies have shown that just 2 to 10 hours of IBMT can reduce stress and enhance attention, cognitive function, emotional regulation, self-control, performance, and brain plasticity.
