Exclusive Display Space You’ll find space here to showcase flyers and other advertising materials. Please note, this is the only designated area in UCD for such materials. Any items displayed elsewhere will be removed and may be disposed of.

Convenient Payment Methods All books are priced in Euros, and we’ve made payments easy and direct. We will only be using QR codes and online banking to ensure payments go directly to the authors. Please familiarize yourself with this process before your visit. Further description on how it works below.

How Does the Process Work? To Our Valued Authors and Public:
We are excited to introduce a streamlined payment system for book sales at the Alexander Technique Bookshop. To ensure a smooth and efficient transaction process, all sales will be conducted via direct electronic payments.
- QR Code Provision: Each author or bookseller is requested to provide us with a QR code generated by their preferred electronic payment platform (e.g., PayPal, Revolut, Venmo, N26, etc.). You can generate these QR codes easily through the respective platforms.
- Payment Process:
- For Book Buyers:
- Simply scan the QR code with your phone camera to initiate the payment.
- Complete the payment through the electronic payment platform.
- Show the payment confirmation to the bookshop staff.
- Once the payment is confirmed, you will receive your book immediately.
- For Authors and Booksellers:
- You can provide multiple QR codes if you wish to offer buyers various payment options.
- We will group and display your QR codes together for ease of access.
- For Book Buyers:
- Record Keeping:
- We will maintain a written record of the number of books sold for each seller.
- This allows for end-of-congress reconciliation without handling any cash.
A Note for the Less Tech-Savvy:
If this technological approach seems a bit daunting, don’t worry! You can always team up with a tech-savvy friend who can help you make the payment using their device. In return, you can reimburse them in cash. This way, you can still enjoy the convenience of electronic payments without any hassle.
