We look forward to meeting you at the University College Dublin from 3 – 9 August 2025 for an enriching experience at the 13th International Alexander Technique Congress. Come and celebrate the diversity and expertise of the global Alexander Technique community, offering a variety of workshops, keynote speakers, and networking opportunities.

Late Registration is now open. This will be the largest gathering of teachers since the Berlin Congress in 2022.

***Please ignore any fishing/spam emails offering the ‘Email List of Alexander Technique Congress Ireland’. We have not sold our list and have not had a data breach! Take care and do not respond.***

Announcement

Congress check in will be open on Sunday 3 Aug from 2.00-6.00pm with the Opening Keynote event at 7.00pm.

Late arrivals Registration after the Sunday Afternoon will be in the
Congress Support Office, Room 51, O’Brien Centre H0.23.

The Congress will close on the 9 Aug at 1.00pm.

Announcement - Workshops Cancellations & Changes

Please select the workshops you want to attend by going to All Events under the Program heading in the menu. You click in the circle to the right and that will book and save that event in your profile in My Events List.

Do check nearer the time to make sure that no further changes or cancellations have been made to your chosen events.

  • Please note that due to unforeseen circumstances Cheryl Sohnen-Moe will not be appearing at the Congress. We have alternative event listed..
  • Also due to unforeseen circumstances Silvia Sferlazzo will not be appearing at the Congress. Attendees who have booked for Hatha Yoga Flow can attend the Smart Yoga sessions with Rossella Buono in the mornings. There will be no class on Saturday morning.
  • The two workshops ‘Embodying your Alexander Message – The Elevator Pitch‘ and ‘The Thought Propels the Sound-Enhancing our use, Sharing our Voices‘ by Janet Madelle Feindel are also cancelled as she is unable to make it to Dublin. 
  • the two Continuous Learning sessions Teaching the Teachers – your eyesight, brain and vision questions answered by Peter Grunwald are also cancelled as he is unable to make it to Dublin.
  • The two workshops From Trauma to Post Trauma Growth and Abodominals and Directions by Naomi Eshel are cancelled as she is unable to make it to Dublin.
  • The two workshops Rethinking Our Thinking on Monday and Tuesday by Missy Vineyard are cancelled as she is unable to make it to Dublin, due to Covid exposure.
  • Additional Events : Trainees’ Gathering on Monday evening plus, Flea Market on Wednesday lunchtime. 
  • Geordie MacMinn, Freeeing the Natural Voice to the Excahe Too iO’Has moved from Room 4, O’Brien Centre H2.20 to the exchange Room,O’Reilly Hall.
  • Modern Means-Whereby for effective Teaching with Presence and Trust, Gabriele Fahrenkamp-Brandt have moved from Agriculture Centre to to H2.20
  •  The CTC group with Alan Philips has moved to the Conservatory.  
  • The Film Ease on Skis on Tuesday has moved to Cedar/Cypress Room in the UCD Club.
  • Engaging with Engaging and Resetting Spirals with Hands-on Work with Luc Vanier is moving on Friday to the Conservatory.
  • The Online streaming videos will be uploaded as soon as they can be after the event. It takes time as they are very large files.
  • Jule Gartzke workshop The Egg, the Eight and the 13 Joints or The Power of Imagination is switching from Room 28, Sutherland School L244 to Room 24, University Club, Cedar/Cypress 
  • Please note The Legacy Program Panel moved to the Conservatory. It is not being live streamed.

Announcement - Panel Questions

If you are planning to attend the Emotions Panel and would like to submit a question in advance for the panel to discuss, please submit it to penny@pennyspawforth.com
 
For any other Panel please submit any questions to info@atcongressdublin.com.
 
Due to time restrictions, we can’t promise all questions will be addressed. 
We will prioritise questions from people who are in the audience and one’s that we think will be relevant to the topic and to the most people.

Announcement - Accommodation

Please read the instructions on how to book Accomodation first at www.ucd.ie/stayatucd. UCD have agreed we get the same rate if you want to add a day before and after the Congress – you can book dates from 2 to 10 August 2025. 

You then book directly with UCD on their booking system at https://stay.ucd.ie, applying the code ATCong2025.

When you get to the UCD campus, to check in and pick up room keys head for the UCD Village Welcome Desk, Google Map location code D04 C1P1.
