This workshop explores how fascial unwinding, a gentle technique used in Craniosacral Therapy, can be integrated with the Alexander Technique to release deep-seated tension and improve overall movement. Fascial unwinding involves gently guiding the body to release restrictions in the fascia, the connective tissue that supports and surrounds muscles and organs. This process can profoundly impact the body’s alignment and ease of movement, directly supporting the principles of the Alexander Technique.
Participants will learn how to incorporate fascial unwinding into their Alexander Technique practice, enhancing their ability to identify and release chronic tension patterns. The workshop aims to promote greater freedom of movement, improved posture, and a deeper mind-body connection by addressing these deep layers of tension.
Workshop Structure:
Introduction: Brief overview of the fascia, its role in the body, and the connection between fascial unwinding and Craniosacral Therapy.
Practical Application: Guided hands-on practice, integrating fascial unwinding techniques with Alexander Technique principles.
Discussion: Reflecting on how these practices can support long-term movement, posture, and overall well-being improvements.
Benefits: Participants will gain practical tools to deepen their Alexander Technique practice by integrating techniques from Craniosacral Therapy, particularly fascial unwinding, to achieve a more balanced and easeful state in their bodies.
Target Audience: Alexander Technique teachers and advanced students interested in enhancing their practice with complementary bodywork techniques.
