13th International

Alexander Technique Congress

The Embodied Mind In Action

University College Dublin, Ireland 3 - 9 August 2025

Welcome!

We are honoured to deliver the next International Alexander Technique Congress, the 13th since the first one in 1986, initiated by Michael Frederick. Michael is excited to be a co-director for this one as well. We are all aiming to create a great Congress experience in Dublin in 2025, embracing the diversity in the global AT community, and encouraging mutual understanding, sharing and friendship.

In Dublin, we’ll focus on the expertise of each individual teacher, on our collective wisdom, and on the diversity and uniqueness of our work. We strive to offer a rich and varied program that enables you to make active choices, allowing you to make the Congress your own. With your participation, we aim to deepen our understanding of the work, expand our skills, learn from stellar keynote speakers, and raise public awareness about the Alexander Technique.

Congress Venue

It’s set in the south of Dublin.

World-class facilities, an ideal location and the right atmosphere all combine to make University College Dublin, Ireland’s largest university, an internationally renowned Congress destination for us. The UCD campus at Belfield is located in the southern suburbs of Dublin. The campus is just fifteen minutes from the city centre, fifteen minutes from the coast and thirty minutes to the beautiful Dublin/Wicklow Mountains.

As a thriving university campus, UCD has an almost endless supply of classrooms, smaller spaces and onsite accommodation – an ideal set up for the Congress.

Also a few minutes’ journey along Dublin’s busiest bus route, or a pleasant walk, and the capital’s shops, sights and world-famous cultural attractions are easily unlocked.

After a busy day of focus and work, Dublin’s pubs and restaurants are a time-honoured way to unwind and socialise with Congress colleagues.
