Judith Kleinman is part of the Alexander Technique team at The Royal College of Music where she has been teaching for nearly four decades.

She is also the Alexander teacher at The London School of Musical Theatre and founder of the Alexander team at the Junior Royal Academy of Music (www.alexandernow.org).

Judith is now one of the Co-Heads of Training at the London Centre for Alexander Technique and Training (LCATT) (www.lcatt.org.uk) where she has worked since 2003.

Judith is the co-author of The Alexander Technique for Musicians, published by Bloomsbury (www.alexandernow.org/the-book), as well as the author of the recently published, Finding Quiet Strength, which integrates Alexander’s discoveries with the work of Professor Raymond Dart, and also draws on the disciplines of yoga, qigong, and tai chi (www.findingquietstrength.com). 

Along with Sue Merry, Judith is the co-director of The Developing Self, an organisation that designs Alexander technique-based curriculum for primary, secondary, and tertiary education, trains Alexander specialists in their delivery, and researches outcomes in the field (www.thedevelopingself.net). 

Judith and Sue are the co-founders of ‘The Ready List’, a project that adapts the Alexander principles into simple, easily applied language, games, and activities so that they can be integrated broadly into a variety of educational settings (www.thereadylist.com). 

Judith founded the STAT Alexander in Education Special Interest Group and has made many information films about Alexander in Educational settings. 

She lives in London with husband Peter Buckoke.
