Teaching Children & Young Adults

Join The Developing Self team and explore some of the specialized skills that open up the doors to teaching children and young adults. In these two sessions you will try out some of the techniques we have found very effective, and fun, during 30 years of teaching Alexander in Primary (Elementary), Secondary and Tertiary education.

About The Developing Self:

The Developing Self was created by Judith Kleinman and Sue Merry in 2016. Our aims are:

  • Create the possibility of integrating the Alexander Technique into every school and college
  • Promote emotional intelligence and embodied awareness as part of every child’s Education
  • Introduce a simple starter language and experience of the work that can be developed and deepened
  • Provide an excellent training resource for any Alexander Teacher who plans to work in education
  • Build a community of like-minded folk both within and without the world of the Alexander Technique
