Gal Ben-Or

Gal graduated in 1988 from the Jerusalem School for the Alexander Technique, under the direction of Schmuel Nelkin.  From 1998-2002 Gal established and directed the non-profit organization ‘Mishal’, founded by the parents of children who had been helped by the technique.  From 2001-2008 Gal was an AT teacher at various educational institutions.  Gal was Chairman of the Israeli Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique (ISTAT) from 2004-2006 and in 2008 he was Chairman of the professional organization for complimentary medicine in Israel. Gal developed a unique method for working with children, youth and parents in accordance with the principles of the Alexander Technique and wrote the book Directions for life about his work. Gal is currently director of the training course for teachers of the AT in Tel Aviv, and maintains AT clinics in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.
