Eleanor Taylor, MAmSAT, is on the faculty of the David Geffen School of Drama at Yale University as a Lecturer in Acting.
She maintains a private teaching studio in Manhattan, where she specializes in working with actors and singers to improve performance, prevent injury and reduce anxiety using the Alexander Technique.  She has also served on the faculty of the Manhattan School of Music and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, and is on the summer faculty of Respiro Opera’s young artist program.  Additionally, she teaches at the Riverside Initiative for the Alexander Technique, where she has developed the ‘Breathing & Voice’ course for trainees in their teacher certification program. She offers private lessons at her Union Square studio and online, as well as small group classes for performers. She is a certified instructor in Jessica Wolf’s Art of Breathing method, and holds BM and MM degrees in vocal performance from New England Conservatory and the University of Minnesota.  For 2024-25, Eleanor is the Chair of the American Society for the Alexander Technique.
