Ease on Skis – Exploring Dynamic Ease in Movement
Why think about skiing in the middle of summer? Because simply thinking about it can transform not only your skiing but also how you move in daily life—how you walk, stand, sit, turn, and interact with the ground beneath you.
Ease on Skis, our unique application of the Alexander Technique to alpine skiing, emphasizes movement explorations that cultivate dynamic ease, balance, and adaptability. In our winter programs, we introduce these explorations indoors before heading to the slopes, ensuring a gentle and safe learning curve. This summer workshop offers a rare opportunity to experience these principles in a warm, comfortable setting—no snow or ski equipment required!
Through hands-on guidance, participants will explore balance, coordination, and effortless movement by leaning, shifting weight, and rolling on the floor. The principles learned here extend beyond skiing, offering valuable insights into movement in everyday life and a deeper understanding of the Alexander Technique itself.
Let’s explore movement with ease and discover new dimensions of balance and coordination. Join us for a fun, engaging session where we’ll be practicing ‘Ease’—the ‘on Skis’ part can come later!
