Soile Lahdenperä is a choreographer and Alexander Teacher as well as being a member of both STAT and FINSTAT. She did her teacher training with John and Carolyn Nicholls in Brighton UK (1992-1995). Soile is also Doctor of Arts (Dance) (2014) from the Theatre Academy, The University of the Arts Helsinki, Finland. She has been teaching dance since 1986 and Alexander Technique since 1995 in that same institute for students of dance, acting and music as well as having her private practice. Soile is also assistant teacher at the Alexander Technique Institute of Estonia and moderator in FINSTAT. From autumn 2024 she is running the AT training in Helsinki with two colleagues Katri-Mari Ruonala and Laura Partanen.
Soile did her AT teacher training with John and Carolyn Nicholls from 1992 to 1995 in Brighton, UK. She has been teaching the Technique since 1995 in the Sibelius Academy and in the Theatre Academy, amongst other institutions, as well as having a private practice. She is deeply involved in the Finnish dance scene and received a five-year government dance grant from 2010 to 2014.
