Jeremy Chance

Jeremy first experienced Alexander’s Discovery in 1968. He began teaching in 1979 and over his career has been involved in many projects: founding AUSTAT in Australia, publishing the DIRECTION Journal (now available from Mouritz), writing “The Principles of the Alexander Technique” available in seven languages and from 1999, founding and running BodyChance – a teacher training school in Japan.

He has worked with hundreds of Alexander teachers in multiple countries and cultures. Some of the most successful teachers today can trace their roots back to being exposed to the ideas in his 12-Step ATSuccess plan. He also built BodyChance in Japan – before COVID, we had over 140 trainees attending every month. Jeremy understands how to gather students!

Jeremy is now the Principal and Consultant to Zen Place BodyChance Training School – which is slowly introducing the work into 130 Sen Place Studios spread all over Japan.
