Learning from each other

Much of what we know about teaching the AT comes from the practical hands-on work we have received from our teacher trainers, from the work we may have done on them, and from the work we have exchanged with our fellow students and colleagues.

The practice of work exchange represents a fundamental part of our professional development, but we often do not take full advantage of this opportunity, which indeed can become a source of discomfort, misunderstandings and sometimes even be harmful.

A common way to proceed is based on feedback from the teacher receiving the work. After considering the advantages and limitations of this approach we will explore a different, potentially more stimulating and enriching way of learning from a work exchange.

This Continuous Learning class will lead you to adopt an attitude that can help you discover aspects of your way of teaching and improve them with the help of your colleagues, in a mutual learning process.
