How to Grow a Successful Teaching Practice

This workshop runs over 2 days – Monday 4th and Tues 5th August 2025.

We’ve dedicated years to becoming experienced Alexander Technique teachers—refining our hands-on skills, developing our keen sense of awareness, and honing our skills of ‘Use’ and ‘Direction’. But how prepared are we for the work necessary to build a successful practice?

In this 2-part workshop series, we will explore how to effectively communicate about your work, identify your ideal students, develop better fee structures and learn the best marketing strategies for you. We will then delve deeper into strategies for acquiring new students, retaining long-time students and setting goals for a successful future teaching practice.

Additionally, you will learn how to deliver compelling introductory classes that consistently leave participants eager to learn more. Finally, I will share the skills I have used to attract committed students and grow my teaching practice in NYC, Atlanta and online.

Please come prepared to engage with others, step outside your comfort zone and walk away with practical tools you can immediately implement to grow your teaching practice.
