Ease on Skis

Five skiers of widely different abilities find deeper courage and joy on the slopes by paying attention to how their heads move as they ski. A story of trauma recovery and reconnection to the planet, this quiet little film documents a radically original approach to an old sport. It could change your mind about where to find courage of your own.

This documentary opens a public dialogue between the Alexander Technique and the world of alpine skiing. Long used in the performing arts, the Alexander Technique is now beginning to influence sports. The Alexander Technique reduces the effort required for activity, thereby saving energy. Not wasting energy improves performance, as true on the ski slope as it is on the stage. Not wasting energy matters every time you move. You might move differently after watching this film.
