Nina Reed

Nina has extensive background in early childhood education, both in the classroom and through online educational platforms. She worked for Educate Online, which has the mission of providing high-quality education to children 4-19 years old anywhere in the world. She moved to North Carolina in 2018 to care for her mother who was living with a diagnosis of dementia and end stage renal disease. 

During the pandemic, in Autumn 2021, she participated via Zoom in ‘Partnering with Poise’, The Poise Project’s Alexander technique based course for family care partners of people living with long-term needs. She found the AT principles to be extremely valuable to her personally as a family care partner, and The Poise Project approach to be innovative. She is a team member/advocate with The Poise Project to help adapt ‘Partnering with Poise’ to be implemented in BIPOC communities in peer-to-peer affinity group versions.
