Missy Vineyard trained under Judith Leibowitz in New York and received her certification in 1975.
She served on the committee that founded AmSAT, and later served three terms as chair of the Society. She has also served on numerous AmSAT committees.
Missy founded and was Director of the Alexander Technique School of New England (ATSNE), a teacher training course located in Amherst MA, from 1987—2012.
She is also the author of How You Stand, How you Move, How you Live, published in 2007. Working with Jean Fischer, she co-edited the two-volume set, F. M. Alexander’s Letters, published by Mouritz. This project was Missy’s brainchild. She collected and transcribed the majority of its letters and wrote the Foreword. At present, Missy is optimistically at work on a second book.
