Body-Thought From the whole to the parts.

Bodythought is a conceptual framework for the Alexander Technique.
In this workshop I would like to share my 30 years experience of the work and my research, putting an emphasis on the hands-on teaching abilities.

The workshop’s aim is to look at what resides in the in-between fields of existence.  We will question the impact that thoughts have on the body and look at what is real and what is imagined.

Learning to stop is the most foundational essence of the work.  Stopping is a chance to let the mind/body sort itself out as IT knows how.  We will meet the lightness of being and not trying for anything.

The workshop will demonstrate how strain and effort can be reduce when unwanted habits of thought and emotions are dropped, allowing for a change and making way for conscious governing.  We will do so, by analyzing the compensation created to hold us upright, using pain and fear as our guides.

Physical pain is no longer a burden, mental/emotional fears become your great teachers to guide to authenticity, and conscious self.

Working like a detective to detect tension and recycle it to attention and intention.  What’s heavy becomes lighter and what’s hard can become softer.  Transformation is available with freedom and direction to re-construct structure and balance.

Allowing for the natural order of things so we can change the way we think and imagine our bodymind structure, shapes, colors, and energy.  Lightness of being in action, grace and ease, will be accessible.

Feed-forwards (not back) forward to your forward, towards – Nature, the Spiritual, the Poiesis. always proceeding and processing to the beyond Forward and UP.

Space, time, perception, gravity, are all now ‘in your hands’.

Now you can teach Hands-On.
